So, at work yesterday my boss informed me that I am getting a $1/hr raise. This is pretty cool. He was going on and on about how if my sales per hour are this and this then after three months I will be eligible for a 5% raise blah blah blah.... But all I could think about was my $1 raise. See, I've never gotten a raise before. So this, to me, is big.

Of course, the last time I was paid $10/hour was when I dressed up like a clown at the fireworks stand in high school and waved at people. And, really, there are only a few subtle differences between that job and my current one.......... Booyah, retail.
